Ben is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Kestrel Ridge. Previously Ben was the Co-Founder and Co-President of Cutting Edge Landscape. Operating in 12 western states with offices in Boise, Salt Lake City and Denver, Cutting Edge is a market leader in commercial landscape and snow removal services. Under his leadership, revenue grew from $10 million to over $50 million in 7 years. In 2021, Ben successfully completed a sale of Cutting Edge to HeartLand, a leading national landscape platform with over $500 million in annual sales. Ben was then appointed as HeartLand’s Senior Vice President to lead the sales & marketing teams.
Ben was born in Boise, Idaho. Alongside his wife of 10 years, they share two young children. Ben and his family enjoy all the outdoor activities this great state has to offer. As a native of Boise, Ben takes great pride in building local businesses which support our vibrant community.
Rick is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Kestrel Ridge. Rick has 15 years of experience in various operating and financial roles. Recently, Rick has been building & operating a portfolio of Take 5 Oil Change franchise locations in Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. Prior to that, Rick focused on a lower-middle market private equity strategy for an ultra-high net worth family office in New York City. Rick began his career in investment banking at JP Morgan covering Tech, Media, & Telecom where he advised on over $3 billion of transaction volume for public and sponsor-backed private companies.
Rick was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. After living and working in New York City for 10 years, Rick and his wife moved to Boise in 2020. Rick and his wife enjoy exploring all the outdoor adventures Idaho has to offer with their black lab Dagny. They are excited to welcome a baby girl into their family this fall.
